i just want to get your thoughts on this.

lately i've discovered that i like the taste (and the feel in my mouth) of my own blood, and when i get the chance i swallow it

i just want to know if their's any side affects i shoud know of from doing this. (obviously it's an unhealthy thing to do), but should i be worried in terms of what it could do to my body

thanks

Just an educated guess but I can't imagine swallowing your own blood is harmful. I assume the body would just digest it.

No worse than black pudding surely?

Is this self harm, or an eating disorder? They're comorbid, each appearing in borderline personality disorder (BPD). I've even heard of borderlines punishing themselves for eating or by eating.

I'm only taking it seriously because another self-injurer said the same thing, that they were biting their cheek and enjoying the blood.

There's also the cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer, who was diagnosed borderline after his arrest.

I quite liked the taste of my own blood at one time. It tasted like cantaloupe with just a bit of salt.
Of course, at this time I was very, very delusional. I thought I was an evil creature with no heartbeat who could make bad things happen with her thoughts. That was but one of many rather bizarre beliefs I held within what I refer to as my "dark period".
I am telling you this because I believe it is your mental well-being you should be concerned about.

I cant imagine that it would be very harmful.. I guess it depends how much on your own blood are you drinking/ tasting ? I assume it wouldn't be that bad..

It's okay, I like the taste of my blood too. It's never harmed me.
