A few nights ago I decided to cut on my wrist, which I've never done before. My usual spot is on my upper arm, below the shoulder, and I had just finished going to town there, but I ran out of room (I stop at the point where most of my short sleeve shirts cover them). I wasn't satisfied, so I started on my left wrist. It was alright, but that raised tendon or whatever it is gets in the way of making the lines smooth.
After I finished I went to the bathroom to clean the cuts. I got that done, but as I was drying off I felt a little lightheaded. It was weird since I've never experienced that cutting on my upper arm, but I opened a window, got some fresh air, and I felt better within a few minutes. Tonight I went to my right wrist, got done, went to clean them. Only this time, while drying, the lightheadedness was severe. My ears rung and my vision was spotty. I felt like I was going to faint right there in the bathroom. I stumbled to open a window and stuck my head out, but it wasn't helping much. Honestly I thought I ****ed up majorly and I was gonna die lol but after a minute or so getting air I laid down on the floor, propped my feet up, and I started to feel better. So my question: what the hell happened? I didn't cut terribly deep, no deeper than usual, and I wasn't really in that much pain. In fact I kinda felt like it wasn't hurting that much while I was doing it. I've never felt like this cutting on my usual place, tbh this was kinda scary lol

Do you think it could maybe have been anxiety?

I don't have anxiety and I've cut plenty of times before. I'm starting to think that my body stressed out because I was on my period and already losing a lot of blood, but I've probably sh'd on my period before.
It was a weird experience but I'm over it lol
