I can not want scars as I wear short sleeves as a personal trainer so I bash my head when overwhelmed or turning anger back onto me.

I have never self harmed because of an empty feeling. I self harmed because of overwhelming emotions that my system can not handle.

This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors.

I cut mostly, to let bad out. To punish myself, I burn. I self harm because of the innate feeling of bad I have, which I am working on in therapy. HUGS Kit

I cut because burning hurts far worse. I have burned twice in the past though. I also used to punch myself in the face.

I do what ever I feel I need to do at the time (also depends what's around me and what I'm working with)

I do it for blood though, not pain

sometimes pain is enough, but most of the time blood is required to make me feel like it's succeeded

I used to starve. but since I can’t do that anymore (school stuff and my gpa falling, also no social interaction since people apparently bonding through food) I cut now. It’s still spring so it’s easy to hide.

Whenever there is too much going on and my brain hurts, I resort to Cutting, punching/hitting, banging head.
I haven't cut in about a year, but I've been thinking about it a lot.

I've done cutting in the past with blades... but I will not say where because I know what we are doing is not good. And as much I want to right now... it has been over a yr and half and I know I have to strong, and I am going to hold out as much as I can. I am a female think about it.. wherever I cut is visible in a bathing suit people will judge you, I've had stares. I say, when you feel sh coming... do exactly this. That's what these forums are here. Let out all your feelings on here. We will never judge, just the opposite we can all help each other. I hope you feel better, concussion suck I know and remember just talk here

Cutting with kitchen steak knives. I haven't done it since Feb of this year since I was sent to the hospital for hitting an artery. I'm so embarrassed now that warmer weather is here. I've gotten a tattoo to cover the scars on the bottom half of my arm, but not the top ones yet. Everyone stay strong! Thanks for listening

I cut to release the pain in my body. Yes I know that does not sound right but the cutting takes the back pain away for a few minutes. I cut below the belt that way it is hidden.

I don’t self harm much anymore but I used to take a brush and whack my leg until it got red. It was a sharp stinging pain and I liked seeing the red. For me was not a release as much as I liked pain because I felt so bad about myself.

Not absolutely keen on the question, but may as well answer.

Usually cutting, but sometimes burning with a lighter, or a cigarette.
