I know this doesn't really fit into here but i figured i'd get the best response in this forum.

On Thursday i was at a party and accidently like turned round into a tray just out of the oven and my arm got burnt, it's quite big and i think it's just cause my skin is so sensitive, so yeah to the point, does anybody know of any good scar reducing creams or lotions because i think this is gonna leave a rather big purpley scar and it's not one i can hide easily like those i make myself.

So any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Some of my clients at work used "Mederma" (sp?). I can't say I personally know how good it is, but it's there and it's specifically made to reduce the appearance of scars.

And if your scar does turn purple it may lose that color in a couple years. Don't know if that's any comfort, but I have a burn scar that used to be raised and purple. It now matches my normal skin color perfectly, although it's kinda weird and wrinkly-ish.

I've also heard that lotions containing cocoa butter can help, but I don't know if that's an old "wives tale" or the truth.

Thanks.

The only thing is I haven't put anything on it yet, because i'm scared to since it's kinda open a bit(sorry if i'm getting abit graphic). So that's kinda put me off putting anything on it because it will sting and yeah...i'm just rambling now.

Oh, well those creams are for treating SCARS, not WOUNDS.

For a wound, you need burn gel. I reccomend getting to your local pharmacy ASAP and then seeing a doctor ASAP, also. Maybe you should even visit the emergency room. Burns can be really serious and they really need special care. Also, after administering a creme, it's VERY important to keep the burn protected and clean because they can get really messy and infected and it's really not something you want to mess around with- I promise.

((((hugs))))) it must hurt a lot. Creams...

I have found that a cream called "scarzone" works really well to minimize the apperance of scars.
I will tell you that it is a little expensive and it takes about two weeks for you to see results but its
well worth it.

Thanks guys..i went to see the pharmacy at work today and they said just to leave it to the open air to heal..so once it's healed i will be on the lookout for a scar cream.

it's funny...it didnt hurt at the time but now like 2 days later it really hurts..maybe it's because i was abit tipsy when it happened..

Thanks for the suggestions
