Well a couple of week ago I was really in a bad state. I wanted to die and actually said I wanted to cut my wrists with a shard of glass I had with me at school. My friend called my sister and told her, who in turn told my mom. My mom talked to my T and they set it up that as soon as school was out that day they were taking me to a hospital in Louisville. I wasn't hospitalized then but I fear if I tell them when I feel suicidal, I will end up there. Last time was a close call. I am not sure if I should be honest with my feelings or keep quiet. I need some help.....someone please reply!!! I am BEGGING anyone to answer...I am going nuts!!!!

Hello,

I have been in the hosptial a few times. It isn't as bad as you think. Usually they have ping pong tables, pools tables, TV sets. Counselors there to talk to you any time you want. Your personal room will not be locked. There is a lobby area where you can talk to others if you chose. Sometimes they have arts and craft time there. Sometimes gym equipment to use. You can usually go outside in a special area if you smoke. Or just go outside to look at the stars. It really isn't as bad as you think. They are there to help not make you feel worse. Check into hospitals around you. Some are better than others.

Take care,
Leslie

I have been to the hospital too. It wasn't bad at all. In fact I am glad I went. It was the turning point in my life. We did some arts and crafts, I got some quiet time without all the outside pressure, the food wasn't too bad. The best part was the guidance the people there gave me.
