Why is all the information out there about and geared towards teens who self-harm?
I mean I know they need support too, no matter how hard I look I can't ever find any info/support strictly geared towards adults.
I know I am not the only adult who struggles with it, but there is no info/support for us!!!
And that honestly makes me feel kinda "alone"... or like SI is just something that I should have "grown out of" once my teenage years passed.
Am I making sense? Does anyone know of any info (support sites etc) for adults?

Aside from our group i havent seen many sites that help as much as pc. However, after looking up self injury on the net, I found this news story on Newsweek. here is the link

http://www.newsweek.com/id/177135/page/1

It gives one womans account of how she struggles and why she started. It was rather interesting for me. I know web md and yahoo also have info on self injury. as well as message boards (albeit, not as good as us! )

Anyways i hope this helps if just a bit. I will try to see what else I can get for ya....

take gentle care...you are NOT alone.

yeah, I think you have a good point, because often teenages would have problems very different from those of an Adult... and to be in a room filled with teens may not help so much... thanks for setting up this thread
wish i knew something but glad you posted
