I use to cut all the time til I threw my blades away and told my bf I wouldn't cut anymore. But now I hit my head. I mean I use to but not as much. I can hit my head as hard as I can repeatedly(sp) for a while...and sometimes hard enough to get that feeling when you smack your head on something and get the wind knocked out of you. can anything happen from hitting myself in the head so often?

Not sure on that one... I always hit doors or walls. maybe brain damage if you hit too hard.

Maybe a concussion? I'd find a better form of release if you can.

American Angel:

I have to say that it's not a good idea. I actually did the opposite, punching to cutting and scratching, but mix it up at times and I have to say that it's very unhealthy to put one's brain in jeopardy. It could cause brain damage, concussion, and not to mention other terrible things. From cutting to punching Please take care and consider finding something else to get release.

Stay safe,
Kimberly.

Head injuries are cumulative. That's what hubby always tells me. And I felt bad about the holes in the walls too. From cutting to punching

My previous reply was not very supportive, and I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking, I guess. From cutting to punching Seriously, head injuries are cumulative, and it's really not a good idea. I did decide to stop head banging because the walls in my new house are not sturdy and can't take it, but there are better reasons than that not to do it. You can get permanent brain damage.

I'd be careful, I've heard you can cause serious brain damage *hugs*
