I have bronchitis. Is it my imagination or does being older make it seem worse than long ago? It's not severe, but some symptoms seem harder to deal with than when I was younger. Shortness of breath for one. Takes longer to catch my breath now. I think I need a younger body. lol

Hope you feel better soon. Sometimes you have wheezing/tightnes in the airway with bronchitis and need an inhaler such as albuterol to help expand the lungs.
Thanks for this!

Oh, yeah!!! Everything seems to be harder on my body than it used to be. I could eat chocolate without gaining an immediate 5lbs. I could go a night or two without sleep and be good to go. I could walk miles without pain....if you know where to put in a request let me know, I'll sign up for a young body too, don't care what it looks like as long as everything works to a T.

Sorry, Side. All of the young bodies seem to be taken by whipper-snappers.

I can finally move around without gasping for breath. Not coughing my head off now. (I can still squeeze a few more "sick" days, so don't tell anyone I'm much better. )

I definitely think our age seriously impacts our ability to recover. When I was young, I NEVER got ill. If I got a chest cold, I'd shake it in a day or two and never felt tired or washed out. Now just recovering from the sniffles is a major production. I also used to jump out of bed, now I have to ease my way off the bed and hobble to the bathroom LOL

Glad to hear that you're feeling better. Maybe we'll live long enough to see them turn out those "robot" bodies that will allow us to live forever . . . .although with the speed at which my brain is aging, that might not be a good thing!

Every day brings a new ache or pain... aging is such an adventure!

LOL... you slay me! Yes over the hump of 55+ does have its moments. that is why they say "parts are us"... like replace this part or that part, but unfortunately we are not a car! Truly, I know what it feels like. But being older gives us insight and wisdom. We take life at a slower pace, and enjoy each day more fully than when we were younger trying to do everything all at once. Glad you are feeling better.

Also suddenly I can't eat mushrooms??? They upset my tummy.

I have a younger body; my wife is 12 years my junior and is much fitter and stronger and cleverer than me. Be careful what you wish for. She says that when I crack up and am wheelchair ridden we are going on a little trip to Beachy Head where a wheelchair brake may fail: http://www.theargus.co.uk/resources/...ype=0&type=mc3

in the past week or so, i have taken a sudden turn for the better~!
it seems to be associated with a decision i made to die rather than beg for medical support,,, suddenly my body is doing so much better~!

i have been off the oxygen for most of the last 3 days and nights,,, was going a couple of hours before, for practice, but one nite i forgot to turn it on, and went to bed without... woke up FINE~! omg, am testing constantly, but sats are totally acceptable,, from borderline to normal~! still need help with exercise, like walking...

BUT i walked out in the open today, to the bus stop, and laid on the ground under a blossoming tree... things i haven't done in years, many years~
even went to the UPS store, 5 yrs since i did that...

is it wrong to be getting younger and younger ?? and i'm shedding almost a pound a week, eating salads again,, all the good stuff, little of the other... (what DOES one do with all the extra skin left over ?? ) LOLOL

wish you were here~!

may you have health and the causes of health~!

That's really good new, Gus! Keep up the good work.

I've been around enough to know that anything can happen! My life is taking a turn for the better now too, and I'm anxious to find out if it affects my depression. Might even help my physical condition.
