Hey all !
My good friend is tearing her hair out about this and I thought I'd ask for some (hopefully) impartial advice ! Her first boyfriend was a bit of a flop, she then went out with a girl, now back with a boyfriend who she really likes. However she cant stop thinking about girls ! She's very confused by it all ! Regarding the sexual side of it, she is more attracted to girls by a long way, but she is also very happy with her boyfriend. As such this is doing some rather large messing with the head ! ![]() Any advice for how she could sort it out and mabey put it in a straightforward way ? |

Have her look at the Kinsley Scale. I consider myself a 4 on the scale, and it seems the way you describe your friend to be. Maybe you could read my recent thread about my orientation. http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=130173 People are not just black and white, there are gray ones too. What I mean is, people aren't just straight, bi, or gay. You may also have her look at photos of male celebrities that most women seem to be attracted to, and then female celebrities. She may just be extremely picky with men. She may have only a certain type she is attracted to. If that type seems to resemble her boyfriend, it may mean that she is just in love with her boyfriend mostly for who he is as a person, not exactly as a man. I have learned from my past that I was only attract to my ex-boyfriends when I was dating them. And now I'm only really attracted to my husband or people that look similar to him. However, I was and still am always attracted to women.

Just be there for your friend even if she decides she only likes her boyfriend and one leged pigmys of either sex. When she is ready to make up her mind she will. But then again it might change later. Can you accept her and her changing ways? After all, she will always need a good friend like you!
