I think if I remember correctly it's at the top left of the screen. I'll go back and take a look.

Good Question..... and to be honest I did not realize that we had a gay forum - or is that more like one of the social groups you can join on here?

You have to join the group before you can post..... go to the group then scroll all the way to bottom and click "join group"

You can see the list of social groups from the Quick Link (top right of page)

I'd like to join too but there isn't a "join group" button to click after scrolling down to the bottom.

Hey folks,

It's a little confusing but maybe I can help...

There's two different places involved. One is Social Group Forums and the other is Social Groups. That may be the confusion.

The Social Group Forums is like one of the many that we use the most, located under the "Forums at Psych Central". Then, underneath the Social Group Forums is "These forums are started and independently managed by social group leaders." as a reference point.

Now, to the other...Social Groups. Another way for LGBTQ's to talk. This format is linear, without threads and titles.

Social Group Forums: I believe it's like any other thread & postings throughout the boards. Start a thread and post.

Social Groups: You have to join in order to post. Some want you to ask someone if you can join, some don't. I don't believe the LGBTQ requires anyone other than you to join.

Problems? PM me. I'll help if I can.

I would like to post in the LGBTQ Social Group Forum but this is what I get when I go to reply to a post in that forum:

"cybermember, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

I found the little teenie tiny "join group' button at the bottom of a page that was accessed from Social Forums, then under the LGBTQ heading it says "Click here to visit this social group", then it brings you to a page with all it's Members. At the bottom of that page you will see a teenie tiny button that says "join group", so I joined.

So it seems I was looking for the LGBTQ social group after all. A little confusing, but I got through it.

It seems that I was unable to post to the Forums until after I joined the Social Group. Now I can post.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
