Now, I'd like to start off, that I never got sexually aroused when doing any of this, but

When I was a little kid until I was a teenager, I would always sneak into my twin sisters room and try her dresses on, and put on her makeup.

It's weird I know. But I just felt a need to do this.

I am bisexual, but I think the real reason wasn't a sexual thing, I think I just wanted to feel close to my sister. We were close, but in a hate/hate way. I mean, I loved her, but she was a very mean snobby girl. While I was quiet, liked to read, study and usually tried to be polite.

So she never liked me much. Heck, she was more of a boy than I was. I was extremely effeminate and she was girly, but had a lot of masculinity.

She was way taller than me, 6 feet. I was only 5' 6"

She got what she wanted when she wanted, and I always had to wait. Probably because I never begged.

But my need to dress like her in secret was a shame I've kept for years. I felt like it was dirty, but I know now-a-days boys do it all the time. I mean, just look at "emo" kids.

Its become a commonality, but in the 50's it was strange. Unless you were in a comedy show.

Well, that's all I just wanted to get that off my chest and wondered what anyone else thought on the matter

i think you hit the nail on the head when you said you thinkit was a way of getting close to your sister - especially wiht twins i would imagine the need to connect would be even greater.

I dont think its weird or shameful and im sorry youve had to hold that inside all this time and i hope you have come to peace wiht it now

take care

I definitely know what you mean, I was never girly and wore boys clothes quite often until my early teens. I do think part of that was trying to be closer to my brother. I also hated typical girly clothes. Girls that age (well, any age. but especially young girls) don't need to be wearing shorts barely longer than underwear, seriously. Although this was in the 90's-2000's my parents are pretty old fashioned and needless to say I got alot of crap from family for it. They really wanted me to be girly, and straight. Too bad I could rant about this but I won't, just letting you know I don't think it's weird at all, makes sense actually, and that you're definitely not alone

Happy you felt comfortable to get this off your chest. I understand if this was in the 50's, there wouldn't be anyone who would understand what you were doing. In todays society, it's not a big deal and there's more acceptance and understanding regarding cross dressing. It's not usual and you're definately not the only man who does this.

I find it curious, how a woman can get away with wearing a tie and a 'man like suit' and she's regarded as sexy. If a man wears something feminine, it's frowned upon or labelled in some way - doesn't seem fair.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with crossdressing. Yes society in general does tend to have views on what a male should be like and what a female should be like but that is slowly changing. If it makes you feel good and it doesn't harm anyone than do it. Who cares what society says. You may not want to do it when your out with your parents because they are from a different generation, but if your at a gay club no one will insult you or laugh at you there and there may even be other men crossdressing there. It's our ridiculous cultural values that make you feel ashamed. There is nothing to be ashamed about. The gay movement is having progress. Obama even has a transgendered man in his administration.
