My partner showed me her leopard print underwear

Was i supposed to jump her bones? This was yesterday and she was wearing leopard print, she pulled up her waistband so i could see and it caught me by surprise so i just said it was nice.

Would like a woman's opinion in particular.

I do not know because I do not get what the deal with lingerie is. But you did say that it was "nice", so I think that the worst that can happen is that she is not satisfied with your response 100% - she still should be somewhat satisfied because you did comment in a positive way.

Raising the underwear up over the pants does not count as much as lowering the pants to show the underwear. It is more casual, less sexy.

I see... so there exists a whole formal structure to lingerie showings... with rankings along different dimensions.

Interesting. I thought women received training in this sort of thing. Like how to combine bra color with blouse color. How sheer the blouse can be, and in what lighting. How much cleavage to show and when. That kind of thing.

Me too. I learned some signs and body language cues over the years but since IT wanted women's views

I am an outlier because my mom did not even bother to buy me the first bra. It took me years to figure out that you need professional fitting for that. But at least I have solved the problem of fit by retaining professional help (Nordstrom has fitters, as do some specialty stores). So I still need to advance from the sizing issues to the color-coordination issues you have mentioned.

I have, however, read that the color-coordination standards are country-specific, in that French women would wear black bras under any blouse (any color, any texture) but American women would not.

I have some mornings where I have to change my bra 3x because it doesn't look right with my shirt. Even more challenging then picking the right bra though... shoes. Men have it SO easy.

re shoes vs bras - definitely shoes are way worse. With bras, if they fit at the store, they will fit in RL, for 6 months, roughly. With shoes, if they fit at the store, it means NOTHING about whether they would then fit at home.

But with shoes, some men have a hard time as well.

I think you've articulated my thoughts really well. I don't think I was 'impressed' enough at her presentation. I don't want to fake enthusiasm because i'm not a good actor so I think next time i will ask questions or something like that to indicate the appropriate level of interest.

Otherwise, I agree with Inedible's opinion. If she were trying to get you to want to jump her bones, a better way to go about it would have to been to lower her pants and bend over or something that effect.

Apparently it plays some role. I read an article someplace... a long time ago. The article purported to help men assess the personality of their women based on the color of the underwear. At the time of reading the article, I wore simple white cotton underwear - the cheapest around. Well, according to the article, wearing white underwear - unlike any other color/print underwear - makes the woman completely cryptic. White is the only color that does not give the man any opportunity to "read" the woman. Black means she wants to be a bad girl, but white means nothing. It does not mean that the woman wants to be an angel - it means nothing. A puzzle with no solution... It basically means that the woman is tight-lipped (no pun intended) and does not want to reveal anything about herself.

I was stunned that my choice of underwear, which, I thought, was driven by a combination of total lack of creativity and a desire to cut on the costs, made me cryptic and unreadable.

As a guy I've has some girls do this or something similar. I didn't act on it once and later in the relationship she asked me why I didn't that day bc I could have left more hints. Lol. I usually will go for the kiss and go from there. Worst that happens is your embarrassed.

In my experience, batting eyelashes is sufficient, but, again, that might be due to the lack of creativity/imagination on my part.

I agree that there could be a difference between pulling the panties up past the pants and pulling the pants down to show the panties.

it seems that lingerie means more to woman than to man they are pleasing. May be it makes woman feel good about herself and feel confident.
