This is not very easy to admit because I find it so different from what I think is normal. I really need input from women and men. I am a straight man with no regular sexual partner. I have tried one night stands and don't seem to be able to get/keep an erection. Once I get to know a woman and develop an emotional connection I have no issues with erections. In fact, when I am in a relationship and have strong feelings for a woman I can even get an erection lying in bed with her with no physical contact just by expressing love or deep feelings to her. Therefore I know that the issue is in my head and not a physical problem. I am not in a position to take on a relationship so I am left with no opportunity for sex with a partner. I don't know what to do... I have no moral issues with one night stands but have given up trying.

Well apparently your physiology is sending you a loud message that you are trying to avoid hearing so I am not sure how input from men and women would alter the message sent to you by your physiology.

To spell it out: the message is that your body and mind are intertwined to such a degree that you need to feel some emotional connection to get erections. So when you say that the issue is in your head, you are only partially correct: the issue is in how your head and your penis interplay with one another.

I don't see any problem
![]() I was dating a guy like that.. he couldn't keep it up for the first couple of times cause he was so stressed.. My little bro doesn't do one night stands cause he doesn't get any please and looses his boner due to it. There's nothing wrong with wanting to have an emotional connection. If you are a male it doesn't mean you should be rapy and wanting to bone everything that moves. I personally prefer guys like that ![]() |
