When I was in Form One (seventh grade) I used to go with a schoolbus that would pick up me and other kids to go to school. The conductor of the bus was also the driver whenever the man who owned the bus was busy. And whenever I was in the front seat on the days the conductor was driving he would touch me. And... at first I liked it but after a while I started to realize what he was doing to me was very wrong but I never could get up the courage to tell anyone. I felt so bad about this then and now. But I still never told. I wondered if there was something wrong that I would let him touch me like that. And now the very thought of doing stuff like that with even someone I really care about makes me scared.

1. There was nor is anything wrong with you. He was an authority figure.

2. Once you realized it was wrong, you were ashamed of both the acts and your initial reactions. If you felt there was something wrong with you, then wouldn't it stand to reason that you would not want to tell someone for fear of them finding out there was something wrong with you?

3. This isn't about something you did wrong, but something he did wrong. You should talk to a victim's counselor. I don't know about the laws in your area, but you may still be able to press charges, but more importantly, you need to talk through this with someone so you can forgive yourself and realize it wasn't you.

Hang in there, coming here was a good first step and with time I hope you can get the proper help you deserve.

Talking it through with someone... right now there isn't anyone I trust enough to talk it through with. All the major authority figures in my life have screwed me up majorly somehow and it's not like I'm going to trust them with something like this. I would never believe them when they tried to make me feel better.

I certainly understand your hesitation.

Another good place to start would be in this forum:

Survivors of Abuse - Forums at Psych Central

The folks there can certainly give you some good advice on how to proceed.
