I am worried and ashamed of my weird fetishes i have had for years.. right back to when i was 13 i think.
The three are: - coprophilia - beastality - peeing outdoors (i have been doing that alot lately). I know they're not normal.. but i just can't seem to come to dislike them. Like to the point where they're the only things I'm sexually attracted too. I was diagnosed with early stages of schizophrenia a couple of year's back. I have noticed it's gradually worsened the last couple of month's. I don't open up to my family.. i feel they'll view me differently and i obviously couldn't deal with that. I just need to know if all this is leading to a full blown psychotic episode.. do i need medication or some serious help? Last edited by FooZe; Apr 10, 2017 at 01:20 PM. Reason: added trigger icon |

Hello Jennifer: I'm sorry I don't know a lot about this & can't really offer much in the way of insight.
![]() I do believe you are correct. Your family cannot help you with this. You need to seek professional mental health services including ongoing therapy & psychiatry if prescription med's are needed. One of the main problems with fetishes often seems to be the guilt & shame people have over them. ![]() I see this is your first post here on PC. So... ![]() ![]() ![]() PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. ![]() ![]()

I believe there are two aspects to it: the one thing is that you found something for yourself that makes you feel good, great, happy, excited, etc. Sometimes people find out accidentally. In your case this could have been for example that you were out somewhere and had to pee urgently but no bathroom was avaliable so you had to do it behind a bush or so and you found that it made you very excited. So, now you want to have this over and over again for the sake of the pleasure and feeling.
Now, the question of course is, why this particular behavior gives you so much pleasure and here a therapist might be able to help you to find out what the deeper meaning is. But the other side of the medal is why you even need something (whatever it is) to make you excited and what might be wrong in your current life situation that makes you rather unhappy. I don't think this will automatically lead to psychosis, but it would be very recommendable to seek help from a therapist. If you don't have access to that, there are internet forums for about anything out there that you could think about. So, I'm sure you will find peers online that you can talk to and exchange thouhgts and you can maybe find out that way yourself what it is actually about. |
