For what it's worth, it does for me too. But I know the reason it does for me; it increases my feelings of rejection.

So maybe it's something like that? More relationship related than just simple hormonal/sexual?

I would ask if it's related to your attitudes about it? A lot of people have a lot of learned cultural and social hang-ups about it, and that tends to create a guilt complex that can feed on itself.

So many people, male and female, have posted on here about guilt, anxiety, depression, etc. "after". When they elaborate, most of that comes from cultural/religious beliefs or social hang-ups (such as old attitudes in the US that were ultimately religiously based too).

Is that possibly the root of your concerns - the old "you're going to Hell, you're gonna go blind, your palms will grow hair" kind of stuff?

I kinda wonder if it might be somatic actually. Instead of the feelings being where you are aware of them, I wonder if they've been transferred to physical symptoms? I dunno, just something I've run into with my anxiety.

Cummer's remorse Urban Dictionary: cummer's remorse Not at all uncommon. It seems to be magnifying the already existing condition(s). Don't feed it or buy into it... masturbate and enjoy it, ejaculate and enjoy it, move on. Really, you have to not let the remorse or guilt bring the other conditions to the fore.

Not uncommon at at.
Just about every person on planet earth experiences this to some degree after orgasm.
Some simply stop being interested in sex, some feel a little down, some get weepy, some get angry, etc.

The more extremely negative reactions to orgasm are rare, but they do happen.

I for instance have a *violently* negative reaction to orgasm. Been that way all my life. No negative sexual experience, no abuse, no restricted household upbringing, religious influence, etc. This is just the way I've always been wired.

It sucks, but it's the card I drew.

You'll go blind No, but seriously it's common to feel regret from that. A lot of people do, and I remember that I also felt like that when I was younger. There is a certain cultural attitude of poking fun at it/negativity surrounding it that it's common for people to feel regret. There's no reason to though, because literally everyone does it. By everyone, I mean literally every single human being masturbates. It is literally something 100% of the population does, so there is no reason to feel guilty. It's as natural as going to take a leak.
