Just had a thought:

I have noticed little, if any, concern about the men's restroom. Because women routinely use the men's when there are long lines at the women's? Ironically, this would, under NC law, probably result in more women being arrested than men.

Actually, I find this rather amusing. How's that for an "unintended consequence"?

I agree. Women use the men's bathroom and nobody bats an eye. Men use a woman's restroom and everyone loses their minds!

We know why. How many women have been arrested for inappropriate behavior (dressing like men to go in there & take movies or sexually assault a man)? Verses the number of men who have been arrested for such behavior?

When it happens we log it as a possibility that we don't want to happen to us.

Porta potties are gender neutral....maybe we should replace bathrooms with those all over the place & no one will have to worry....& they are individually private which seems to be the main issue brought up regarding this new law.

What is the percentage number of transgenders this actually effects out of the actual population? How many of the voices being heard are those who are just sympathizers for the cause?

I am a woman, and I have seen all shapes, sizes, & ages of women in public restrooms. Honestly, if I happen to see a woman in there who might look like they may once have been a man or haven't had the "full" operation yet, I don't give a flying F. And I hate public restrooms because of social anxiety, I get out of there as fast as I can anyway.

or as I like to call them, provocateurs. They, whoever "they" are, do not represent me in any way, shape or form!!

I'm not entirely sure what this argument is about, transgender people have been using the bathroom of their choosing for years. It would never bother me, as I'm only there to make a preemptive strike and get out anyways...
