If I were to use a toy on someone such as a dildo, and then cleaned and sanitized it, could I use it on another person, or should I buy a dildo for each partner?

Well that depends on how many partners you intend to have and use the dildo with. I recon it could get quite expensive to get a new one if you change partners quite frequently
I don't see why it would be of any problem to use the same one as long as you clean it properly and disinfect it and all that. However, what matters the most is what your partner thinks of it. So I would go ahead and tell the partner that I have used the dildo on someone before and ask if it bothers them. If it does, then don't use it.

Yes if they are toys you can sanitize, you can use them on different people. Some people though, like myself, would rather have their own toys. Sharing gives me the heebie jeebies. Lol.

Yeah I don't feel comfortable sharing toys. I have my own dildo that I would only want to use on myself and not put into other people's bodies. And then my partner can use their own toy on themselves. I don't like the idea of sharing toys, but my potential partner cleans and sanitizes her toys and uses them on more than one person, so I was wondering that if it is clean is it really okay to share on more than one person. But yes, personally I have a very expensive dildo that I only want to use on myself and don't want to compromise it with anyone else.

But then again...people have multiple partners and isn't toy sharing the same concept? Let's go with Joe. Joe has multiple partners but he is "clean" aka no STDs, so when you have sex with Joe you know he has had multiple partners. Are you okay with that? And let's say Dildo A has had multiple partners, but the owner keeps it clean and sanitized. Is it the same concept that as long as it's sanitary does it really matter?

That's what I'm wondering...I will not share my dildo, and I am not sure if I want to use my partner's toys if they have used it on other people even though it is clean and sanitary.

I see what your saying but if I was hooking up with Joe and he had multiple partners Joe would be wearing a condom. You can also put a condom on a vibrator as well, but that doesn't work great with other toys. If I'm hooking up with a guy I could reasonably assume he washed his junk. How would I know if he washed the toys. I knew a guy who told me he liked sharing toys, saying he washed them when he didn't. Trust no one. If I was sleeping with a woman, I wouldn't share my toys with her either. I don't know. It just weirds me out. I like my own toys.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere about people using condoms on toys for this reason.

Depending on how picky one is....toys are pretty cheap & much more available. Geez I just ran across them on Groupon!
I’ve also seen ionization boxes that are for sterilizing toys. Pretty cool.

But for better quality toys, ones that are an “investment”....I’m not sharing those.

get hard rubber dildo then can boil in water to santize. but most people don't seem to think about cleanliness of toys. i see at parties girls sharing them of course they are usually high and drunk when passing them around.

yes i am guilty of doing that too

depends on what the packaging and care for the dildo requirements are... here in the USA sex toys come inside of packaging that has basic information on them like ingredients used to make that toy, whether it contains latex, is microwave safe, whether it is dish washer safe, whether it is for multiple usage or single usage, whether to use soap and water and whether bleaching and other abrasive cleansers will cause damage, what kinds of batteries to use and ...... well you get the picture...

my wife and I have discovered the best thing for us to do is completely read the labels and info papers/ pages that come with our toys. (we accidentally used a sanitizing agent and it created pin prick holes in one of our toys which created an infection) after that we read everything including the box, plastic wrapping and so on which gives all the essential do's and donts, care and use of the toys.

my suggestion is check what your toy has said on this issue. if you cant find the box, plastic wrapping, labels and info papers my suggestion is better safe then sorry buy a new toy.
Thanks for this!
