I have been having mild insomnia for the past week.

I fall asleep at around 10:30 pm and wake up at 2-3 am. I am alert and cannot fall asleep. I then take my morning medications and within an hour or so I fall asleep. And then I have very disturbing dreams and wake up around 8 am.

For the rest of the day I feel awful. My brain is half asleep and my body is awake. And I have anxiety.

Sounds very much like me except that I take sleeping meds and this has to see me through. Wish there was a magical button to push to give a good night's uninterrupted sleep. No nightmares.

I have this too. I wake up 3-4 times in the night and never get a full night rest.
My mind is often racing with thoughts. I have been taking a new medicine which seems to be helping somewhat. Still waking up a lot though.I wake up at 4 am, and I am up for good. Then I feel lousy all day from not sleeping well. wish I could get one full night of uninterrupted sleep.
