I get very tired at night (thank you , Seroquel), but I delay going to bed. I get online, find a book, watch TV, whatever... anything to keep from going to bed. I like being in bed. I like sleeping. I just have problems getting myself to actually go to bed. I don't have bad dreams often, I don't have problems getting to sleep usually...

Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, absolutely. I think it is because I feel it is my best time of time in terms of clear-headed thinking. I need some kind of parental figure to come and say, "Turn that light out and get to bed!!!!" My self-discipline is out the window.
I totally relate!

Last night, I was up all night because i kept getting into things online. I'm online every night, last night was just different with gaming. So I finally fell asleep around 6am and then had to get up at 10am for work. I've been drained ALL day and exhausted. So now it's 11pm again and I'm wide awake. Going to go bore myself reading a pdf book or something to try and fall asleep.

I like nightime. It's quiet. I can hear myself think. It's peaceful. But at the same time I need to sleep I've noticed TV is too stimulating..I've recently got into a habit of watching Roseanne at night. It starts at 11pm and they play a few episodes and it lasts a couple hours.. I've seen every episode already..it's just that it's on.

its so easy to get into something to avoid something else the internet and games are some of the easier things. i find that i get on my phone and play games in the dark laying down and then i fall asleep that way

This happens to me. Its the only part of the day that I feel good mentally and physically. Its like I don't want to miss out on it by going to sleep

I do that too. In my case, I think it's a combination of things.

1. Simple rebellion. As a child I was put to bed at unreasonably early times, mostly so I'd be "out of the way" and my parents could pretend they didn't have children. It made me feel unloved and unwanted, so I think a big part of me is saying, "No, I won't go to bed, and you can't make me."

2. The night time is more peaceful. The world is asleep, and I feel more free to do what I want without having to answer to everyone else's expectations.

3. My sleep patterns are just plain messed up. Even when I do go to bed, I often find I can't sleep. Maybe my thoughts are racing, or my body aches. I could simply be a night owl. The job I have kept the longest was a third-shift.

I do this too, but I also have trouble getting up. Like if I'm engaging in one activity, I really hate stopping it to do something I'm 'supposed to.'

I do the same thing. It is like I have to force myself to get into my bed and turn out the lights. I have a TV in the bedroom which is a bad idea because I will stay up all night watching TV. I usually fall asleep with the TV on.

Does going to bed remind you of something?

It reminds me of how vulnerable I really am.

It reminds me of abuse.

It reminds me of bad dreams.

I start to think about things and feelings come over me.

Just my thoughts.
