I usually dream about people, places and things from the past... so this has really stuck in my head.
In the dream I was sitting in my car (driving somewhere) and an almost entirely black moth flew from the back of the car to my drivers window.. I put the window down a little (it was raining) and he still wouldn't go out..He went to the other side of the car and then back to my window. I put the window down further and he got caught in the window and squashed.. broken etc. I picked him up with two fingers and put him outside.. the fluttered down like a piece of wet paper and hit the ground. Any ideas what the heck this is all about?

Haha, now if you can sort through all that (I'm not sure how to put the peices together correctly) it might help. I took it from here: http://www.dreammoods.com/ But because the moth represents you as a person and your character, and it was purple.. I've noticed that you seem to view your compassionate and sensitive personality as a weakness instead of something good. Also black and it said shows a lack of love as well, so you lack love for yourself maybe? I think that the dream is only showing you that you are on this journey in your life as you try to get over past hurts and everything, but your see yourself as weak and you try to reject those parts of you (how you tried to get to moth to leave) but it is who you are so it wont. But perhaps you dislike these parts of you so much that you want to banish it (how it got sucked out) and not only just banish it but have it destroyed. Maybe you feel like this little moth, your weaknesses, are holding you back, preventing you from concentrating on your life journey?
That is my weak interpritation. I'm sooo not experienced with this, and though it makes sense to me all in my brain it's hard to explain ![]() |

If you belive in the native american traditions, the moth is a sign of transformation. A coming into your own if you will. It is much like the butterfly. Do a google search on "moth totem" and you will get a ton of info on it. The native americans believe that if an animal/reptile/bug/whatever visits you in a dream then it has significance. Look up the properties of each one that you dream about and it will guide you towards the meaning in your own life.
Just my .02 cents anyway...lol
