I almost never can remember my dreams, but I did one this morning. Some of us (I had the impression I was with several people, but never saw them) went out on a Hawaiian island, towards the shore. The going was rough, and one person told me to watch out for water, as it could creep up on you unawares (like in a tsunami?). I started back and the going was rough, with boulders and rocks everywhere. I found it hard to pay attention to the water while climbing over the rocks near the shore. It was just a strain: I felt I could fall and injure myself or fall into the water.

That's about it. I tried afterwards to see if any thoughts came to mind, but all I could think of was that it seemed to parallel a lot of how I feel, especially in early mornings: I am working hard but always feel on the edge of not making it; always a bit unstable. Other than that obvious stuff, does anyone have any better interpretations? Why would I have this dream (and remember it) this particular morning? Why on a Hawaiian island?

I've found with my dreams (and several dream dictionaries) that water is usually "emotions". I've been swimming in pools, been aboard submarines in underground parking garages and once fell using stepping stones across a stream and almost landed in the water, as well as had numerous dreams of swimming around pirate ships.

The Hawaiian island sounds personal to you. I have a brother who lives in Honolulu so that would mean something different to me than whatever you have going for "Hawaiian island"?

I know I once dreamed I was with Elton John and he machine gunned the base of a fence until it fell down and at the very end of the dream I was given an "important" message, "Don't you know? There are no fences in San Francisco" and San Francisco is where I last lived with my mother before she died. My brothers, father and I left San Francisco and drove across country to Bethesda and my mother was flown across country to Bethesda Naval Hospital (or to airport and ambulanced there). So, San Francisco was "meaningful" to me in some way that it wouldn't be to just anyone.

Something "exotic" perhaps? Tsunamis would be more likely to happen there, so maybe you made the dream "parallel" so it made more sense? Maybe its distance from where you are and maybe you are distant from whatever you're trying to tell yourself in the dream.

How about on here/PC (going with the several people now), have you been working on anything/anyone related to what you are doing here? What are you feeling is "difficult" in your life now?

My life. In particular, finding people IRL I can really relate to. I guess I need to be less afraid to do that.

And yes, I have a Hawaiian connection...
