I am sleeping 11 hours and have tried sleeping less, always get up at 8:00AM, and wake up tired from exhustion dreams. Often sleep 2-4 hours during the day.
Recently switched AD from Celexa to Zoloft, so I now have some more energy during the day. Celexa turned me into a Zombie. It seems the dreams are anxiety attacks- shovelling snow up hill, running, hiding, movie feature length... Seeing Pdoc on Monday. Getting restful sleep is so important, insomnia feels worse, but I think my present level of restful sleep is not useful for healing from depression. Gently1 |

The dreams seem to be the 'biggest' in the morning hours, sometimes during naps during the day. I do not know if they are the cause of anxiety or the results of anxiety? good night |

you might consider being tested for Sleep Apnea,,, that was the cause of my constant "Rememberance" of dreams,, i was waking all thru the night from suffocation, which mimics panic.... best wishes,, Gus

I've been sleep tested for similar reasons, but it just goes along with my anxiety/ptsd. I take meds to go to sleep and have found that some make dreams worse and more vivid. Sorry you are having such a hard time. Have you tried Melatonin? It's an over the counter that I've heard does help some people, I'm probably gonna try it here pretty soon.
