My entire life i've had quite scary dreams which give the threat of dying, such as being pushed off a cliff when I was a very young age to being shot in the head and hanged in recent years. The majority of my dreams are gruesome or scary but I often forget them when I wake up. But I was wondering why death has always been present in my dreams even since young toddlerhood.

I don't know... perhaps it's a sense of insecurity and fear? The only toddler dream I remember was seeing three skeletons in a balloon floating across a field of snow soaked in blood. I ran into my Mum and Dad's bedroom crying that the Father Son and Holy Ghost were going to kill us. Apparently I was threeish or fourish. Benefits of a Catholic upbringing.

Perhaps there's a familial or cultural element to your dreams? Did you have a relative die a violent death (accident or otherwise) when you were young?

I had my Aunt die when I was 6 from a tumour but my dreams have been happening before that. At about age 2 or 3 I had a reccuring dream of being chased, kidnapped and then almost killed by two muppet characters. Also around that age I used to talk a lot about quite graphic and detailed deaths from previous lives, which I can no longer remember. Perhaps that could be why?

That could be why.. Some people dream of memories..... Some people may just have an overactive imagination.. while others are dead set in knowing without a doubt that something in their life has been experienced before but can't remember it ever happening in this life... I'm not an expert in this sort of thing, but I do know it's possible..
For I know there were things in my life growing up that I knew way too much about and no one ever mentioned it. Most of the time I would get a "sit down and chat" and they would ask me where I heard it from, and who told me that and such when it was just something that came from blind knowledge (only way i know how to explain it, as it was knowledge, but I had no source to credit what I knew to).
I also would trace a sideways 8 all the time from a really early age, my parents got mad at me a lot for this.. I remeber when i was 2yr getting in so much trouble because i blew on the window and did it there and left a mark..
And had other things like memories that no one can explain to me.. and now that i'm older they are not as clear as they once were but i know they are not from this time period...

I'm sorry you're having such tramatic dreams.
