Dreamed of an ex!

Last night I had a dream that I was in the same neighbourhood as my ex, ready to meet him for the first time. I had already spoken to his friends, they told me where he lived and seemed generally supportive. Then I left, walked there it was in the middle of the night and I knocked on the door. THEN SUDDENLY I REALIZED I HAD NO TOP ON and had to run away. But the ex seen me and was like "O_O omg it's her!" and came after me. I managed to get home and throw on a top..I have no idea why I didn't have one, and then went back. He hadnt noticed my nakedness, and we talked, and he was overly nice and in a way it felt so wrong.. It felt so fake him and I and I woke up after realizing this feeling.

Any help?

I have dreams of my ex all the time.

Usually we're friends. Sometimes we're closer. My current girlfriend's usually in the picture somewhere too, but in the background. It's weird because in real life I absolutely despise my ex.

These dreams are probably just based on memories of someone you spent a lot of time with. I think when we break up with someone, we tend to remember the bad things and try to shove the good things down so we can justify breaking up. Maybe when we have good dreams about them, it's just those good memories coming back?

It does suck though. I always feel guilty and confused about my own feelings. I feel like it's a horrible thing, the possibility that I might still like my ex - not love, but respect. But really, it's not a bad thing. It doesn't mean you want them back, or love them.

Maybe the fakeness you felt that roused you from your dream was that conscious guilt and confusion starting to realize, "wtf? I hate this guy!"

If none of this makes any sense nor helps, I'm sorry. I've been up the whole night. Minor insomnia :P Can't think straight.

I always have dreams of my ex-husband and also my husband that died. I guess its my active sub-conscious!

Sometimes maybe during the day I might have been reminded by a smell, a word, a song or whatever and although I did not connect it while awake, my sub conscious did connect. it.
Also the fact that you were partially naked might indicate you are still vulnerable.
I am just guessing of course....

I am always dreaming and usually its close to when I am waking up...
