I rely pretty heavily on Jung to interpret my dreams.
I dream a lot about buildings and vehicles. This is usually interpreted as your life as a whole. One frustrating thing that often happens in my dreams is that my cell phone gets lost or broken. That means I don't have the tools I need to fix what is wrong in my life. In other words, if it can be used as a tool and you dream that it's lost or broken, it means "tools" to fix what the dream is about. Dreaming of certain people doesn't always mean that it's about that person in particular. It can be interpreted as a symbol of yourself or someone else or a situation. There is usually another woman with me in my dreams. I don't know who she is, but it's the same woman every time. Jung says that this is the part of me that isn't acknowledged or expressed. She often tries to help me. Jung suggests you listen up when this "shadow person" speaks. Anyway, don't be afraid to follow the links on this site. You'll be surprised at what you find out about yourself! ![]() http://www.dreammoods.com/dreaminfor...eory/jung3.htm

Er, I can't find any dream I've ever had on their lists.
What does that mean? |

Take the subject matter of the dream and apply the archetypes.

Ok, yeah, but my dreams feature things like dead alien worlds, citys in caverns beneath the sea, undead borg, and third person POV (I even once had a dream with no one (including myself) in it) and I couldn't find those on the lists.

Then I would take note more on what was happening in the dream. Like I said, people... or creatures most often are just symbols.
IDK how you can have a dream where even you aren't in it. I'm thinking that maybe you were an observer. Pay attention to your feelings during the dream and try to get in touch with feelings from the resent or not so recent past when you are awake... or feelings that the dream brought up. Journal you dreams so later you can go back and re-read the dream. Things might fall into place then. Have you done any more reading on the dream site? I would. ![]()

Then again this is very helpful; Quote:
Though I notice it doesn't cover dreams where you are committing murder. |

I have a man in my dreams that always appears. My negative animus I think Jung would call him. He usually is mad at me in the dreams, or mad at the woman/shadow person who is representing me. Wanting me to wake up and take action in my own life or trying hard to get a point across. Sometimes after I wake up I just laugh at how obvious he is. Or rather how obvious my unconscious is. I find the more I work with dreams they are easier to understand. Just happy to see someone else mention Jung. He doesn't really get tossed around where I am and people tend to look down at me if I dare to mention the idea of dreams being able to tell you something. |
