Why do I keep having very realistic dreams about plausible albeit disturbing things? (My mother raping me, my ex-lover raping me,lots of disturbing sex dreams really, beating the snot out of my classmate...) They upset me all day, I can't shake the terrible aftertaste. I even have bad feelings towards the people involved for up to several days.. I'm severely depressed and they only make things worse

Worries and strong emotions must come "out" and if you can't respond to them during the day, they work their way into your dreams is what I think. I'd go see a counselor to see if you can figure out how to make the day not so unconsciously upsetting so the night will be quieter (that's what I had to do).
