Has anyone experienced this? I'm not scared. I feel fine while I experience it. I had a sleep paralysis attack this evening while I had a sleep. I tried to open my eyes. I saw a image of a boy, maybe young?. I noticed brown on him. I woke up and felt physically drained.

Another time, I noticed a man while I tried to open my eyes. He looked white. I wonder why I hallucinate like this.

I have heard voices too but that was ages ago. I heard a woman say my name twice. It freaked me out!! It was like a person actually talking to me. Another time I heard lots of people talking.

I have had suffered this for ages. It has happened to me loads of time, I am used to it. Some people think this is caused by demons. Sorry but what a load of rubbish!! Some say it's the body still asleep but the mind is awake. I believe in the scientific explanation. When someone is in a dream/real world state. The dream can mix with the real world. Thus, giving me hallucinations.

I also heard apparently sleep paralysis is the first stage of having an OBE (Out of body experience). I would like to experience it but I might be scared.

Sleep paralysis... sure is, STRANGE

Yes, I've experienced this. I actually felt someone in the room and touch my neck. Also voices and the whole thing.

Yes, actually, hallucinating during sleep paralysis is quite common. Did the auditory hallucinations also occur during sleep paralysis or were you awake for those?

With the auditory hallucinations, it occurred during sleep paralysis. I wish this sleep paralysis could end.

I still remember the "dream" with people coming in my bedroom window and hiding in my closet, others were after them and it being so real I instantly woke in the middle of the night and went to look for the person in my closet to hide them better, LOL. The angles and windows and furniture, etc. were all correct but I was on the second floor and there was no way to get up there.

But I hate when I recognize something, the room I'm in and also realize I'm awake and start to compare the two and they're opposites or something; dreaming one feels so sure and then in reality/sort of wakefulness it doesn't jive quite right and feels like it takes all one's brain power to get it "right" so you understand.

Here is a real interesting interview with David Hufford who wrote a classic book on Sleep Paralysis.

Also, here is a link to a pretty good book on the subject.

I like your explanation 'dream mixing with the real world' that's similar to how I explained it to myself in the past. Kind of like compositing in fx. I'm glad you're fine with it though because every time it happened I freaked out, it was a nightmare.
