Okay, so I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this or not... But it does pertain to sleep. So I hope it's right! If not, let me know!
I keep falling asleep in the morning, even after getting a good night's rest. I eat breakfast in the morning, too, to try and help get my body going, but it doesn't help a lot of the time. I'm also always just so tired for no reason. My mom thinks it's how I'm eating. I don't eat well and I'm not eating the right amount of veggies and fruits that you need. She thinks it's my metabolism and that it's making me tired. Me, I'm not so sure. I just have a problem seeing that making me tired enough to fall asleep all the time. But what do I know? I'm not a doctor. I'm not taking any medications that would make me drowsy either, as I've talked with my psychiatrist about this already. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Like, what could be going on, what I could do to try and stay awake in the morning...? Any help would be wonderful! And thank you for reading this!

Be persistent with your doc and make sure the understand how much of an issue this is for you. Perhaps a sleep study might reveal something??
I have always had a problem wanting to fall asleep after eating. It is still an issue for me. But, I definitely have problems with sleep alone! |

Thanks, I'll definitely be talking with my doctor about this. A coworker of mine mentioned a sleep study, so maybe I'll discuss that with my doctor.

Not sure, but it does sound frustrating. I could fall asleep wherever and whenever, so I can relate! Do you do any form of exercise? Even 10-15 minutes in the morning might be a great way to "wake up" your body and energize yourself.
Easier said than done! But, it's worth a shot. Good luck. |
