My ex-best friend was caressing me :/

Hello everybody, I've had a strange dream last night, who wants to tell em something about its meaning?

First of all I want to tell you the period I'm currently living: I had a terrible quarrel with my deararest friend, and he doesn't want to talk to me anymore (or I guess so, since we had no chat, no phone calls and no emails for two weeks.)

Last night I dreamt that I was with some friends of mine and we have to climb a very high wall (it wasn't exactly a wall, but a mixture of a like a climbing wall and a mountain made of bricks and cloth -- I know, it's absurd). I was worried about the climbing, because the clothes I wore were very uncomfortable (I was wearing a black, tight dress and high heels), while the others wore blue jeans and trainers. Anyway, I succeed to reach the top

On top we found a little house, so we go in and go to sleep, since we are a bit tired. In bed I'm lying next to the friend I had a quarrel with, I'm asleep and he's staring at me, caressing my cheecks and smiling (it's so strange, since in real life he behaves as if I hated me).

I hope it isn't too complicated, English is not my mother tongue, so it was not easy to tell this strange dream.

Hi, Exkav, I was interested in this little unconscious mistake you made, should be "as if he hated me"?

I think your dream is your unconscious telling you the friendship might not be over, your conscious feelings that he does not care for you anymore, not quite correct. You apparently have a longer history together and I would look at that history, why you are friends and remember what he likes about you, as well as what you like about him. You could be feeling insecure with yourself? That you are not worth being friends with? (and which might have caused the mistake above?). The dream is telling you that you are someone others can care about, your friend did (and could possibly still) but whether your friend has a problem or not with the friendship, it should not hurt your relationship with yourself; you should be your own best friends.

In dreams, we often are all the characters because it is our dream we are making up. So, that your best friend was caressing you, that is you enjoying you, you must learn to love yourself first.

of course it should, I didin't notice that I wrote "I hated me" OMG!

I really hope so, I love my friend very much and would like to talk to him again, explain my feelings and behaviour, tell him that I'm sorry that our beautiful friendship was ruined because we are both afraid to be hurt by others.

maybe you're right, when I was a high school student I was the less popular student of my class, other kids made fun of me because I was not cute, wore glasses, loved books and had no boyfriend I guess that this situation made me insecure about my looks (even if several guys tell me that I'm cute and smart and love being around me) and relationships (you know, fear of being cheated on, abandoned and so on)
