Some nights I can get 8 hours of sleep and they are pretty decent hours of sleep...but most nights I get about 3 hours and I'm up half a dozen times during those three hours. Talk about lack of quality sleep :-/ It doesnt seem to be a problem though...I'm not tired...I just get tired of staring at the ceiling! I've been prescribed sleeping pills and also tried some over the counter stuff like Tylenol PM...and nothing works....

i'm going through this right now. i usually get 7 hours. i wake once during the night but usually get right back to sleep. this past week i get 4 hours sleep, wake up around 0300 and it takes 2 hours to get back to sleep if i can. i have a bit of tirednesss during the day but not bad if i am busy. been up for 2.5 hours and does not like i'm getting back to sleep. think i will set up a table in my room and build models at 0400 when i can't sleep.
this is a recent event starting in mid january when i had a bad sinus cold. also did not get 1 promised contract and my other work source seems to have dried up too. had a physical and chloresterol is great but bp is elevated for first time in 3 years. no doubt i have a few underlying stressors and lack of sleep can make me anxious and reaching for low dose xanax. oh well this too shall pass and i will get some focused quiet bench time with model building.

I also can't sleep. It's 6:45am and I have class at 7:30.

Time for some good 'ole caffeine.
