i can't remember the last time i had more than a few hours of sleep in a night. probably a couple months ago.
i am not tired anymore, but all the days mesh together, and i am having hallucinations and delusions. can t focus or concentrate! i cant even remember what i did during the day or how i ended up in certain places. people say i talked to them and i don even rememeber. i am failing all my exams!

tried out drinking bottles of wine, taking sheets of painkillers and melatonin tablets, doing more exercise during the day, eating healthy, drinnking tea. nothing seems to work! i dont know if my massive mood swings are a result of my sleepless nights or the other way around!

any ideas? this is not normal is it? im not even sleepy, just feel like a dead zombie -.-

That sounds very stressful. I can't relate completely, but on feeling like a zombie I certainly can. The mood swings could be keeping you up, but you might want to see a doc about it.

The one thing that is ounds you haven't done is sit, breathe and relax. You'll be ok before the end. Just have some hope. Hope isn't going to help you get some sleep, but it'll help you find a way to get some sleep.

When you started getting very little sleep, did something happen emotionally to throw you off? I have sleeping and energy problems now because emotional disruptions from months ago.

Make a wish
You'll be fine
Nothing's gonna let you down
Someone's there next to you holding you
Along the paths you walk

Hi! You listed the symtoms of sleep deprivation exactly. If you drink alcohol, that disrupts the sleep cycle. I agree about seeing your doctor. Going that long without good sleep is pretty serious. Tell doc what you are experiencing. I am sorry you are having to go through this. I would see doc ASAP.
Thanks for this!

I completely understand and can almost definitely say its sleep deprivation. How do I know this? Because I haven't slept more than 4 hours straight in probably 5 or 6 years now. So I'm pretty much like a zombie all the time. Don't drink alcohol, don't take sleeping pills, don't smoke weed, or any other form of drugs; they won't work and they'll make u feel worse. It could be sleep apnea or some other thing that is messing up your sleep. If u have insurance, go to the dr. get a bunch of blood work done and a sleep study. Before u get the sleep study done, find out what the requirements are to get a diagnosis. When I got my sleep study done back in 2006, they couldn't give me a proper diagnosis because they said I needed to sleep 5 straight hours which I did not do, DUH! If I could do that I wouldn't need a damn sleep study! lol. But seriously, take care of this asap, u dont wna turn out like me. I am in a daze 100% of the time, always tired, completely detached from reality, as in I am not sure if this is all real. My entire life is on auto pilot, I basically do stuff because I'm supposed to, not because I want to. But anyway, this is about your problem, not mine. But this **** is serious, so please get to a dr. ASAP!

The best type of therapy for you is hypnotherapy.Your mind can be trained to let you fall into the sleep state by giving it hypnotic instruction.
