I was at a house on the water w/ my children when a hurricane came in. I could see the sky colors darken. Windows in the house were broken from the force. Water begins to pour in the windows.
Flash to next scene: everything is calm again but too quiet...eerie and everything is wet and damaged from the storm but we are all safe. My recently married son walks in w/ a woman i do not know and tells me he and his wife have split and this new woman will be living with us.
Flash to next scene: I am sitting in my car w/ door open. Out of some tall grass nearby, my youngest daughter comes barreling out w/ a mad vicious snarling dog dragging her by its leash. I see the dogs face more clearly than I ever remember seeing anything in a dream; its my married son's dog who we just had to have put down under some very emotional circumstances (who was never mean and snarling like this). I recognize the animal just before it jumps in the car and bites my stomach like it is going to rip me apart. I jump and wake

I would like to see how medkev would interpret. But all the water and hurricane could have to do with overwhelming emotions. The son's new wife could be about uncertainty and lack of control over how he's living his life. And the angry dog bite, maybe this is how you process the emotions of having to put the dog down.

Well I'd say the same about the water and the hurricane - overwhelming emotions...and maybe an impending conflict you can see coming.

This is off for me, because everything in me says there is something regarding your son/the mystery wife, and your daughter/your dog that is actually about you. I just can't put my finger on it. All I can think of is the line from Pet Cemetary - "Sometimes dead is better."

You're sitting with the damage of this emotional turmoil. I think the issue may be that you'll be seeking someone you can depend on but feel like everyone else is depending on you. It's like Alice looking into Looking-Glass Land - but that's no reflection she sees....just a backwards version of herself. You see your family coming to you for help, and they are both your observation of them as well as your own reflection. The snarling dog may be the pent up aggression of your primal side trying to fight for what you need...even though people depending on you has held that part of you back.

Honestly, I can't make much more out of this. Its like it's right outside of my reach. I hope this helps.

Ty, Medkev. I would have never guessed that it was a self reflection but I had to hold back tears when I read it, so I think you musta hit a nail on the head.

O, Blue Inanna, you definitely hit on something too and I havent mentioned this anywhere so its purely insight on your part! I am very concerned about my son's life choices. He has only held down a job for less than a month this yr. He had a good job that he was very successful at for almost 4 str8 yrs before this. He is hyper-intelligent but I cant get him to go back to school either. Right now he is a big big trigger for me! In fact, he lack of wking is why he and his wife had to move in with us. (She is a nurse at a nursing home and very successful at her job and school...beginning to wonder why she puts up w his lazy *****)
