Hi, so I'm brokenrosa and I can only sleep when the suns up. Literally my body or my mind or something in me won't let me sleep. I've gone to therepy and taken pills, learned meditation techniques but none of that helped. I am not afraid of the dark but sometimes sleeping with the light on helps. I have a history of anxiety and panic attacks and sometimes at nipght I feel as if I'm at the point of hyperventilating but I never do. My pulse quickens and my eyes blur and I lie there waiting to either fall asleep and start breathing faster. It doesn't happen and then the sun comes up and I'm out. I manage maybe two to four hours of sleep unless I have the day off then I am able to sleep till sundown. Please does anyone know of a way for me to slget some rest?

This sounds like when I got my sleeping pattern thrown out of whack. You're not going to like to hear this, but it's pretty much the ONLY way I know of how to get through this...
First, you have to force yourself to stop sleeping entirely. Get social and active during the day. Keep your body moving as much as you possibly can. Do this for at LEAST two full days. After the third day, go to bed at a decent hour, and set your alarm to get you up at a decent time in the morning. DO NOT GO TO BED LATE, AND DO NOT SLEEP IN! You may need someone to help wake you up in the mornings. Do whatever you can to get yourself up and moving. Stay active during the day. Get a nighttime routine going and stick to it before bed. Maybe add some melatonin (check with the dr first) about 30 min before bed, to encourage the bedtime routine to take a solid effect. It'll take about a week or so before you fully reset your sleeping patterns.

Thank you. I'll try.
