I sadly cannot sleep without my Ambien, and with or without it when i do sleep i have the most terribly REALisic dreams, Zombie Apocalypse, my daughter being shot at school, seeing someone in passing who is deceased that i know.. Does anyone know much about the interpretations or is this my imagintations "fears" just kicking in when i am at rest?

PTSD, Borderline Personality, and (especially) Bipolar Disorder all have night terrors as a common side effect. I'd say tac it up to night terrors and stop taking Ambien. The Ambien will actually make your nightmares worse, because of what disorders you suffer from. It can also cause things like sleep-walking/cooking/etc. as well as enhanced psychotic symptoms (read "hypo-manic").

Perhaps it is not the Ambien that is causing your "night-visions", but, instead, the strength of the Black Gungi that is pressed into your hookah, P-Bong 25.

It isn't necessarily the ambien. I take 12.5mg of Ambien CR and 100mg of trazodone at night, I NEVER remember dreams or nightmares.
If I don't take ambien for a night, I have horrible bad nightmares

It's more of a factor for people that suffer the effects of a manic mood. Ambien basically tweaks with one's susceptibility to psychotic factors, and much of that comes out in the dreams. Again, though - night terrors are pretty common for PTSD and Bipolar Disorder.
