Every night i lay down i get an overwhelming feeling "what if this is the night i die" it has gotten to the point where i start wondering what happens after death which leads me to imagine hell . I have tried sleeping pills but this seems to make it worse. I have tried mariwana that just made me parzniod. I have found nothing that makes it better. I dont know what to do.

Hi Jraverill,
Have you talked with a Pdoc about your sleep issues? The inability to have restorative sleep makes it harder for you to process stress. Your fear of death indicates you're dealing with a lot of stress right now. The most important thing you need to remember is your body has to rest. You have to have adequate sleep. There isn't a reason for you to not have help. Trust me they have something out there that will help you rest without the phobia or nightmares.
Be encouraged. make an appt if you can.

Sounds like simple Anxiety. Slow down your activitys one hour before going to bed. Try meditation CDs.
