Hiya I had a c-section 12 weeks ago, and keep dreaming my incision has split open, I then wake in pain and have to feel to check it is dry&closed. I'm speaking to my doctor on Monday but wondered if there was an interpretation other than me worrying about it?

Maybe it's your brain's way of telling you in your sleep that you are in pain. Or that you are paranoid of that happening in your sleep so it manifest itself in your dream.

Is the pain in the dream or real pain ? If it's real you must get it checked out. C sections are major surgery and take a long time to get over, 12 weeks is not that long. The dream is occuring because you're worrying about your wound and how it's healing. It's on your mind during the day, and creeping into your mind at night. You may feel more reassured after you've seen the doctor. Take care.

Thanks guys, been referred to gyn. She thinks its just hormonal and will settle down since there are no signs of infection.
