Has anyone tried to see an acupuncturist to help with insomnia, and if so, what have the results been?

Thanks.

I haven't heard of using it to treat insomnia. Has anyone else had this experience? If so, then please respond!
Thanks for this!

I've had accupuncture, but it was to treat migraines. It didn't help me, but my dr said accupuncture can help a lot of illnesses.

I do have migraines. I did not think of that. I am fine treating migraine attacks with triptans. But good to know that you had this experience.

I tend to feel very calm and relaxed after acupuncture - good enough to fall asleep for sure. However, I'd need to have it done daily for the same effect and that's not very practical/affordable and such. That's been my experience.

Have you participated in a sleep study at all? I did and was found to have a circadian rhythm disorder; specifically, delayed sleep phase syndrome. Knowing that my internal clock is a night owl in a world with different working hours is challenging, but it does help a wee bit, too, because it's *me* and an exercise in trying to be okay with that as well.

Not sure if this helped or not, but I thought I'd share in case it does...
Thanks for this!

That is a great idea! I do not have insurance right now, but I will look into that if I get insurance.
