So, since returning home from the hospital, I have an anxiety/unease about going to bed at night. I am able to nap during the day without issue, but the thought of going to sleep at night makes me really uncomfortable. I had no trouble sleeping at the hospital without meds, but since coming home, I have a lot of trouble with it. I ended up staying up really late last night and only fell asleep because I took some meds. The trouble with them is that they kicked my butt all through to tonight, and I am still groggy from them (20 hours later). Has anyone experienced this? I can't even begin to guess where it is coming from...

It is the Meds combined with normal anxiety from being in the Hospital.

I have had this happen and I don't take meds. For some reason, when I'm trying to go to sleep, I get terrified of where I will "go" during unconsciousness. This causes my mind to keep itself awake although it is needing sleep. I don't know if this it the reason its happening to you but that's what I remember about this. I hope you feel better soon MdngtRain
