i keep dreaming about drowning or sinking. Two days ago i had the dream again and i can remember all of it. It started with me taking the bus to somewhere, when i got of the bus i remembered that i forgot my wallet on the bus. I ran after the buss to get it and the bus was no on a boat going over the ocean. i told the man in charge that i forgot my wallet and that i need it. The boat started driving and i wasn't supposed to be on it, the man couldt give the wallet to me before they came back, for some reason. Suddenly i was in the water, it was big and dark blue, and a bit wavy, but still calm in some way. I tried to keep my head above water but i couldn't. When i tried to swim up i just kept going further down and i was almost paralyzed, not able to move the way i wanted to. I could still see the man on the boat when i was under water, he was screaming at me and i tried to communicate with me but it was hard since i was struggling. I remember kind of being irritated that he didn't just leave because i tried to make him believe that i had everything under control and that i didn't need any help at all. Suddenly i was home again, and the man later came to my house giving me the wallet, he said something and it made my sister wonder whats wrong, so i said well its because i almost drowned. And again i was irritated that she made a big deal about it, because i was fine and it didnt matter and i didn't want her to know that i struggled.

i aaalways have this dream about being in the big darkblue ocean and im unable to get out. i stay calm the whole time, even though i wonder whats going on and i want to get out, but there is no panic. what can this mean you think?

im a 20 year old female if that means anything.

(sorry if my English is bad, its not my first language)

Remember his experience in the Ocean? Remember the Boat sank? Remember his severence from the boat and what was on it. Remember Pi finding himself? That is what happened in your dream. Review the visual elements in the move, and connect them to your dream and life.

In dreams, transportation like cars and buses (and I assume boats would count) are supposed to be a symbol of either change, or the idea that life is a journey.

I did a google search, and dreaming about the ocean can have a couple different meanings. One is that any water reflects your mood (so if the water is rough, that might mean you're angry, but quiet water would mean you're calm). Another is that it's a symbol of your birth, your mother, or just a general sense of where you come from.

I know that money is supposed to stand for self-confidence, so losing your wallet might mean that you feel like you're losing confidence in yourself. But I found out that wallets sometimes also mean your identity in general, so it also could mean that you feel like your personality or your values have changed. It probably is meaningful that you got your wallet back in the end of the dream, though.

That sense that people (the boatman and your sister) are trying to help you, but that you don't seem to want help probably means something, but I'm not sure what, unless it's that you literally feel that way about something in your life.

Put it all together, and there are lots of different ways to interpret this, but maybe the simplest is that you feel like you're going through a lot of changes in your life, and you're worried that they're changing who you are as a person.
