Ok so I haven't seen a thread about this specific issue yet. Just wondering how getting too little sleep effects people here and want to vent about how it effects me. The past month or 3 weeks at least I've been getting very little sleep, seems to add to short term memory stuff and also it was getting to the point I kept thinking I would see a spider out of the corner of my eye and when I turned to look it would be gone....Or I'd get convinced I had one on me and go to brush it off when there wasn't even one there...not sure why its specifically spiders I end up seeing and also there can be some visual distortion like things seeming to move a tiny bit. I was up 5 days straight once and that was much worse then any of that but also involved recreational use of adderal(if you could consider it that, but recreational things are supposed to be enjoyable which that ended up not being)...but that doesn't count as strictly lack of sleep.

My husband went a few nights without sleeping much and started to have delusions. He even called the police to come out because people were trying to get in the house. None of which were true.

Lack of sleep can have dramatic effects on me. I'm bipolar so the last time I was hypomanic I wasn't sleeping. I was getting terribly grouchy and had all kinds of stuff going on at one time. My doctor makes sure to check on my sleeping patterns and monitor it. And gives me medicine to make sure I get my sleep.

I was also up for 5 nights straight once to finish off some project I had to do. Yeah, what you say happened to me too, not the spiders, but solid objects seems as though they are bending or moving slightly. I used to see fixed objects moving too when I look at that criss-cross pattern on an Aluminium/Steel sheet, you know the type you get on steel steps. It would look as though those lines are moving, but I just thought it was my eyes that were strained from keeping them open so long, but your post has made me think again.
