Here is a fairly random hit on Amazon:
No More Sleepless Nights: Peter Hauri, Shirley Linde: 9780471149040: Amazon.com: Books The book and the related books do have high ratings and good reviews, but I wonder if this is even relevant to insomnia implicated in psych disorders. If anybody who has a MI (bipolar would be especially relevant) has benefited from any of those books, I would very much like a recommendation. Note that I am not looking for trivial advice, because I have already perused the various leaflets on sleep hygiene that many doctors have handed me over the years. |

If you are struggling with insomnia, I would suggest asking your GP for a sleep study.
There was a point where I really struggled with sleep, at one point going 3 weeks without any sleep. My GP was trying to help with different sleep meds, but nothing was working. I asked for a sleep study and discovered I had sleep apnea in addition to only making it to the second stage of sleep. Once we had that info I was able to receive treatment for both and now, for the most part, sleep well. |
