Hello everyone! I'm new here, and I figured this would make a good first post. So, for the past two nights I have been dreaming about riding in a train with my mom. However, we never get to our destination because there is either a major accident causing the train to shut down OR the train is being attacked by strange creatures so it shuts down. I tend to have vivid dreams everyday or every other day, but it's rare for me to have dreams with a common theme back-to-back. Also, I usually dream about my grandmother (who I have a somewhat strained relationship with). I very rarely dream about my mom, who I have a terrific relationship with. What do you all make of it? I'd love to hear your interpretations! =)

PoppyRoad: Hello, I'm well aware of that site. I even have their app on my phone. I wanted users to give their own interpretations of it because it's good to hear other people's opinions. But thanks anyways.

I think I heard trains were supposed to mean you're embarking on a journey.

This dream is about your relationship with your Mom. The train shuts down before you can get any where with her. This is how your are feeling about your relationship with her.

I apologize, starryprince...I didn't mean to blow you off by just giving you a link. I just thought that particular explanation (on the dream interpretation site) was more in-depth and descriptive that a lot of their interpretations are.
I would think that a train symbolizes, or is a metaphor for, a journey. There's some kind of passivity involved possibly, since your a passenger not a driver. I think I need more than just symbols or images to really get a feeling for your dream. For example, how did you feel in the dream? Frustrated? Afraid? |

8888an8888: That's what I heard too! The only thing is that I feel like I'm stuck...I feel like I'm not embarking on an emotional journey (can't be physical because I've been in the same place for months). But maybe I'm going through some journey that I'm not conscious of. Thank you! =)
Thunder Bow: I think it definitely has to do with my relationship with my mother, but we're extremely close and she listens to whatever I have to say. So it just doesn't make sense. If it were about my grandma then it'd make a lot of sense because my grandma and I do not see eye to eye and she shuts me down a lot. Maybe it's some aspect of our relationship that I'm not seeing? =/ Thank you! =D PoppyRoad: Oh, don't worry about it. It's okay. =) Passivity is a great word to use because I've always been a very passive person, and I've been trying to be more aggressive...It's hard to change though. =/ In the first dream, I felt angry. In the second dream, I felt very scared. And in the third dream (which I had last night and which ALSO involved my mother and I riding a train and not getting to our destination because we got lost), I was furious because my grandma was harassing and physically attacking my mother after we got off the train. My mom was very passive in those dreams. I was very aggressive and protective of her. |

Look at real life and see who is harassing you and your mother in real life. You dreams seem to involve feelings in real life. What kind of situation are you currently in?

Wow, those are some heavy feelings. And that the dream continued (not just one night) - I think that's extremely relevant. The dreams sound unpleasant, but definitely powerful. I think it's wise of you to question the dreams and explore them.
