Whats the best sleeping pill that won't make you hungover the next day. My dr gave me traozdone 100 MG and it makes me so hungover. FYI I've never been hungover before, only from this med.

I want it safe, non habit forming, and won't give a hangover effect. cause I'm gonna ask my dr for that

ambien doesn't give you much of a hangover, but it can be habit forming, same with benzos. all the rest I know of can give you hangovers. I don't know if you can win this one.

Ambien #1 hands down. Even better, Ambien + seriquel together. Benzos alone really are not as effective if you have a serious sleep disorder.

You are going to have to consider the cumulative effect of all your meds. Hopefully your doc can help you with this.

I still have much difficulty getting to sleep and sleeping. However, the sleep I do get is better quality ever since I stopped taking those meds. Especially Seroquel i think that stuff is dangerous.
Oh yea, if you stop taking sleep meds, prepare for a few weeks of night terrors or nightmares. But if you do get past it it will be great.

Oh and you probably have to consult with your doc before trying this.
I didn't and had a few rough months since I quit benzos cold turkey and after the fact learned I could have died. It was a miserable experience.

Good luck with whatever you do.
Lavendar, valerian tea, warm milk, 5 htp, eat whole grains lots of veggies.

I've taken most of the sedating meds and sleeping meds out there. Ambien has a really short half life. I actually wake up half way through the night when I take this. Nefazodone and halcion are some older meds that aren't use as often anymore, but still effective, but also have a short half life so they should be less likely to Cause next day hangover symptoms. Good luck.

Ambien only knocks me out for about 4 hours thats why I also like to take seroquel it helps me stay asleep, but seroquel alone will not put me to sleep. Together they work well for me. Slight hangover effect for first 30 mns then fine.

No hangover with halcion here. But it eats away at my memory if I take it every day.
