I had this dream that I was walking on a road against the crowd flow. Each and every car and bikes were going the opposite direction that I was headed to. Suddenly the scenario changes and I see myself walking on a narrow path and there was nothing but trees and farming field, no one around me, not a single person.

Then I see this man coming towards me, riding a bicycle & he asked me to help him with something. Suddenly I realized that there's nothing that I can help him with, so why is he asking to come near him? I got horrified & I started running away from him. I looked back & saw that
Possible trigger:

Then I see myself running on a field & I see my home close by. I felt a bit relieved but then I woke up, horrified and I was sweating so bad.

Can anyone please help me out interpret this dream? I have been worried throughout the day and I can still feel that horrified feeling that I felt in my dream, near that person!

Seems like you are escaping from a bad feeling in life or a bad memory of some kind. The field is your new safe place in life. You were going against the flow. I see why you have a horse as your avatar. The dream is probably about a real life situation that you recently got out of.

I might disagree with Thunder Bow slightly and say that this dream could be about your internal dynamics as well as (or instead of) your outer life. It could be either - it's hard to tell with dreams. You have to sit with them and listen to your heart.

IF it's about your inner dynamics, then what it means is that you have many parts to you, like all people, and these parts or aspects to your personality can be represented by different people in the dream.

Going against the flow of the other people could mean that you are not listening very well to your inner dynamics and trying to force something that goes against your intuition. The reason I think this is that when this scary man appears, your first thought is that you can't help him. Perhaps, though, he is an aspect of your who is asking for recognition and help. It is when you starting running that he pulls out the butcher's knife.

So something to wonder about is whether if you had stopped to help him and listen to him, he wouldn't have gotten threatening.

I could be completely wrong here and I usually trust Thunder Bow's intuition, so just throwing this theory out there.

Thanks, Thunder Bow! I feel like my intuition works best in the area that I'm familiar with, which is my story of my recovery from childhood emotional abuse and how I reacted to that by forming powerful inner dynamics as a defense mechanism, including powerful internal cruelty. So when I see dreams that are like horror movies or something like that, I sometimes feel a strong resonance with my story, and I believe I know something about how to help people in that state, as I have successfully recovered from it myself. I don't have dreams about threatening people or monsters any more, but I used to have them every night.

In other areas of life, I am less familiar.
