Has anyone tried polyphasic sleep? I just read about it tonight, and it sounds interesting. I'd like to hear about experiences anyone has, and the way you break up the time chunks for sleeping. Like how many hours do you sleep at a time, and how many hours in between naps, etc. Has it helped you? How long did it take to adjust? Thanks!

For anyone who doesn't know what polyphasic sleep is, according to what I read it's sleeping in a couple different chunks of time rather than sleeping seven or eight hours at once. And the total sleep time is generally less, so there's more time in the day to do other things. I also read that it can make lucid dreaming easier, which would be cool. I read that it made some people feel better mentally, and I think I read that some felt better physically too. But then I also read that it doesn't work for a lot of people, and that it makes you like a zombie, or at least at first or something. I'm kinda suspicious that doing this could actually be good for you, but I am interested in it and I think I'd like to try it.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

that is how my dad sleeps, he takes power naps if you ever heard of that. he sleeps sitting up in his chair in the living room for about an hour or two at different times of the day. he says he likes it that way.
