So I had a discussion with my therapist, and she suggested I try and find some ways of alleviating the nightmares (at least so I don't wake up in the early morning terrified). I already have medication and such to help me with it, but does anyone else have any advice on how to alleviate the bad dreams, even if I can't really get rid of them?

You are going to have nightmares. Actually Therapy can increase the frequency of them. Dreams are sacred mirrors, they are your teachers. Best you can do is learn from them and understand them, no matter how horrible they may seem to you. Through dreams your mind is processing what you are learning in therapy.

I hope so.

A hot bath, warm cup of milk, and peaceful tv or book before bed.

Thanks! Currently watching some Big Bang Theory reruns before bed, which is helping. At least in terms of not feeling too scared.
