Grrrr. Well. This weekend, I was awake 38 hours before I slept... Fine I suppose, I didn't have much to worry about. Managed to somehow knock myself out with zopiclone (didn't work) so then took promethazine last night. Woke up this morning, got on with my day. Walked about 3 miles atleast (oh man I ache) Took my my meds and a diazepam at about 9.30pm. Still awake (1.35am)
I have college tomorrow. Argh.
But nope, instead I'm up watching videos on YouTube and have now admitted defeat and moved into the living room, on edge of getting my craft stuff out to make jewellry.
I know I shouldn't. But still.
Is this insomnia? Or the start of mania?

I stopped my quetiapine and swapped to aripriprazole because the quetiapine was making me a zombie during the day and I was unmotivated.

Is this just a temporary thing because I haven't had any quetiapine? Or should I be worried?

For some people watching a video can actually make them tired, such as reading a book, watching tv, taking a hot bath.
For me if there's an appointment, event, or something the next day, I won't sleep. I hate it, then I look like hell and I act weird.
I found ZzzQuil has worked for me. It doesn't really knock you out but it helps you fall asleep fast. Then again I guess it depends on the person, with me it works well, with my husband, not so much.
Sounds like insomnia to me, but I do it too, so I'm not sure if it's mania or not.

Sometimes I watch a hairdressing video on silent- like one that is 30 minutes long. And I'm not allowed to fast forward bits even if I already know the technique they're showing like the back of my hand. That tends to work. I read on my kindle, because leaving the light on would wake my partner up. To be honest playing with my phone does normally help. At the moment it's becoming more and more that I am actually bored of being in bed!!

I can definitely understand that! The only thing I haven't ran into the ground was watching TV, but I can't. We live in a one room apartment so our daughter's crib is up by the love seat in her own little corner, and turning the TV on is a no.
You could perhaps try being in another room, like in the living room, den, basement if the basement is a den area.
