My dreams have always been vivid. Lately, and since my diagnosis, I sometimes have trouble discerning between what happened and what I dreamed. Is this something that is part of BPD or is this another form of losing my mind.
Does anyone know whether there are ways to use dreams or sleep to help manage BPD? I wish sometimes someone could rewire my brain and just start over.
I also wondered what people thought about the importance of what we dream about. I am constantly seeking (and begging) for answers. Could they be coming through these vivid dreams and I'm missing the point? Does anyone know how I can have my dreams interpreted?
Final question: is there a way to stop my feeling of disconnect or that I'm in a dream when I am awake?
Sorry to post so many questions at once!

Dreams are our internal mirrors thus they are important. Anxiety affects our dreams, as in your case. There is a dream interpretation forum on this site and on my forums as well. A Therapist can guide your through your anxiety and feelings of disconnect. Anxiety, and being in therapy can cause intense dreams. Don't worry you are not losing your mind.

Thank you so much! I will absolutely join the forum. I was searching for that sort of discussion and support and here you popped up to guide me there.
I will definitely reach out. I have had some very interesting experiences in life that have guided me to look at my dreams. I even had a complete stranger stop me one day and tell me to buy a bottle of water to put by my bed. In the morning he said to seal it up again and throw it away. He didn't really explain why, but I thought it might have to do with trapping bad dreams...
Anyway, I digress, lol Thank you!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
