I have had insomnia for 6 going on 7 years.
The past year or so my insomnia has gotten extremely worse. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm on 200mg trazodone, 100mg doxepin, 1mg clonidine, and 15mg remeron. I also suffer from anxiety, depression, eating disorders, ptsd, adhd and paranoia. Would any of these disorders have to do with my insomnia? my psychiatrist doesn't even know what to do. any thoughts would be of so much help. |

Your anxiety will cause insomnia. Keep working on your anxiety with your doctor, and try to find what is causing it.

Hello Blair321: The Skeezyks really can't speak to what might be causing your insomnia. Any chance you could be seen at a sleep clinic where they assess such things? I frequently find myself unable to sleep too. When I can't, I get up & do walking meditation. I walk slowly throughout the dark, quiet house, around-&-around typically for an hour or two. I focus light attention on each foot as it touches the floor. Thoughts come & thoughts go. I allow them to come up & dissipate as they will...

sleep is a huge problem for me too. actually, it's a little weird... i wait all day for the night (because night is the time i day i enjoy most), then it finally arives- i realise i can't sleep and wait for the day (which usually ends up wasted), so then wait for the night again.. which i know is in vain because i won't sleep. |
